Photos Update!

Photos update! Here is a post to update my frens or anyone about wat I have been doing these past year...

Genting Highlands & KL (09.08.2007 to 12.08.2007)

I was in Genting on 09.08.2007 to 11.08.2007. This is the queue ticket to check-in to the hotel of Genting. The queue (business) of Genting Highlands Hotels & Resorts are superb. Look at the ticket that I was holding. We still have to wait for another 152 customers for them to serve before serving us. But they've got great service that we've only waited less than 1 hour for them to serve us. Keep up the good work there! Then we went down to KL for a night before coming back to Kuching.

This is the game in Genting where i remembered the most. Coz it's the most exciting game that i've played so far. We've also played the game called The Flying Dragon. It's "tummy-upsetting" but it's not as thrilling as this one above. Haha! There are other games we've played like the Corkscrew (roller coaster), Merry-go-round, etc.

Bako National Park (01.09.2007 to 02.09.2007)

This pic was taken on the way to the island (i think Bako National Park is an island by itself). Gosh, i donno the history of my own land. LoL.

After the boat ride, we need to walk towards the place we live. It's quite a distance. The boat couldn't go up til the shore because the land is very high unlike those in Pulau Redang or the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia & also the tide is very low in the afternoon.

This is the Guide to the trails available in the park. There's nothing much to do in the park except jungle trekking & hiking the mountains(?) or hills. Beware because you can easily gety lost inside. The trails are quite organized i should say. I wouldn't know any better (or worse) ones because this is my 1st time walking inside the jungle & mountain. LoL.

This is us halfway through the trails. Looks like we r all tired (especially me) coz we've all never went things like this b4 & we've never train ourselves b4 the trip. I totally wanted to give up while halfway up the 1st trail. Gosh! LoL.

VICTORY!!! Telok Pandan Besar Beach... He he!~

And..... this is me.... totally FLAT out. Thinking back, I'm such a loser! LoL.

This is the reward for climbing half dead. SUPER WORTH IT! The scenery was so breathtaking!

This is the top of the mountain of i-donno-where. I remembered goin there by boat, we climbed up the trail shown by the boat rider & wallah~~~ We've arrived here. There is a trail that leads to this place but it will take days to reach. like u need to stay/camp halfway b4 proceeding the journey.

Ahhh... This is a picture of sunset... Yeah.... Breathtaking... It reminds me of a song by Zhou Chuan Siong aka Xiao Gang called Huang Hun. But to summarize the feeling, it shows that watever happens to us, be it good or bad, there will always be hope for tomorrow. And watever bad that happens, be glad that it happened & don be sad because tomorrow will always be a better day. ;)

This picture is just too cute not to post. This picture was taken at night while we were enjoying ourselves at hour hotel. While we were playing cards & just relaxing ourselves, suddenly there was a banging sound from in front of our hotel. We jumped up & saw these 2 adult Wild Boars fighting with each other. I donno wat were they fighting for but i think it should be over food (just my wild guess). We were so scared that they will come up & hit us. LoL, Btw, the picture above. These are wild boars; mummy Wild Boar & 2 little baby Wild Boars. They're so cute! We've also given (thrown?) them things to eat. They eat EVERYTHING! We even gave them peppermint sweets, they eat.

This is a picture we took of one of the wild boars the next day. Just look at the nose!

This is a must have pic from Bako. It is the international logo of Bako, Malaysia.

Time to go home...

Overview of Bako National Park:

The scenery was breathtaking, having the nature surrounding us & being proud of the fact that it is a national heritage, makes us wanna recycle more & to help preserve the nature. Besides that, the facilities provided are totally disappointing. The water supply is awful & the food served by the canteen is totally disgusting, dirty AND super EXPENSIVE. I know food & drinks in this kind of place is suppose to be expensive but gosh! Just look at the quality! I'm not trying to pin-point anything or anyone, but since this place is a tourist attraction (organized by the Sarawak as well as the Malaysian Forestry Department), shouldn't it be well organized up to the international standard? I'm not the only one or the 1st one to complain but I saw it in the newspaper & also comments from people around me. made me shameful of the government here & everytime someone asks me about the place, I would say "environment's superb BUT not the food & facilities". The best food there whould be the Burger stall operated by some malays which is only open for supper. Sigh... I just feel so sad for the tourists.
