I Finally Found Someone...
then we all proceed to church, even in the church, everyone was still laughing.. the service starts at 1030am.1st with the bride's uncle (her dad passed away so her uncle has to bring her) bringing in the bride & hand her to the groom, my cousin. he's a funny guy too.. he act as if he was so nervous walking down the aisle and jokingly wiping his cold sweats from his face.. haha.. then we began the service by singing the hymns & saying prayers..
the time has come for exchanging of the wedding vows. they held each other's right hand and saying vows (the "I do") then my cousin was such in a hurry that after they exchange rings, he quickly lift his bride's veil and kissed her without the priest asking him to do it. haha! we were shocked too coz it happened so fast that we were not ready yet for the kissing part but then it's still according to the process of the service. then after that we continue the mass with hymns & prayers again..
the service finished around 1130am and we were all rushing to take pictures with relatives and most importantly, the bride & the groom.. i din get to take with either of them but we got it in a whole big photo. i havent got that pic yet.
me & Darren outside church
Darren's the one whom i picked from the airport & surprised the rest of the family coz he was not expected to come back to attend the wedding due to work. he's my cousin, Dexter's cousin. so meaning he's my cousin's cousin. then after everything, we go back to the groom's house (my uncle's house) for the traditional "serving tea" session. 1st one to receive the tea is my uncle & aunty (the groom's dad & mum).. once again, my uncle would look so terrified drinking the tea (jokingly, haha!) & the parents will give the bride & the groom red packets as good wishes.

the bride, Emeline aka Ah Bie and her groom, Dexter aka Ah Tu with my other cousin, Tze
groom's parents b4 drinking the tea
baby Timothy (the man who is trying very hard to steal the limelight of the day, haha!) & his uncle, Andrew
"kuku & kim kim drink tea" (uncle & aunt drink tea by baby Timothy)
after that is my granpa & my granma's turn, then the list goes one according to their status in the family, that is from eldest to the youngest. meaning all the adults will drink the tea 1st then the cousins & nieces & nephews.. the younger ones will serve & the elder ones will receive red packets. red packets r for good lucks for all occassions. most ppl nowadays look for the "content" inside the packet rather than the meaning behind the packets. but oh well, it's still up to the receiver to view it. after the tea session, we proceed to the cake cutting ceremony whr the bride & the groom will cut their wedding cake.
then we took lunch b4 the bride & the groom go over to the bride's side for her tea session. then we will all go home for a rest b4 the banquet during the evening.
ok now.. the banquet.. everyone's wearing their best evening wear for the banquet.. the guys would put on neckties & jackets.
the usual process continues, e.g. shaking hands by the parents of both bride & groom on the entrance of the ballroom, we take our seats, the welcoming of the couple (the song "I Finally Found Someone" by Bryan Adams & Barbara Streisand ushered them in), and speech by my cousin himself to his bride & the guests, followed by the speech by his uncle. then dinner again.. im not quite sure wat they're talking about up there coz i was bz with my food.. heh.. here r some pics to show u the nite's activities.

my aunt (dad's 2nd sis), my mum & the 2 monkeys.. haha!
the nite ended with many relief and many memories. a relief for the bride & the groom and a memory for everyone. all their hard works for the day finally paid off and it is definitely a day to remember for the both of them for the rest of their lives. it's such a great day that no one shud forget it and it will be in our hearts for the rest of our lives. after the dinner, still, photographing sessions going on endlessly. everyone wants to get a picture with the gorgeous bride & groom. i had so much fun that nite with everyone i can say. the couple, uncles, aunties, cousins, friends... they all played a very important part in our lives that without them, none of anything like that day would have happened. i wish the newly-weds, many happy returns & i will pray that both of u will love each other til the end of time. *cheers*
hope u enjoy the post & sharing one of the memorable days of my life. til then, tata!
